GYTA Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable

The GYTA cable is a classic outdoor communication solution featuring a corrugated aluminum tape armor. It provides an excellent balance of moisture protection and mechanical flexibility, making it the preferred choice for duct and aerial backbone networks.

Application

Perfect for long-distance communication and inter-office networks. It can be installed in conduits (ducts) or lashed aerially.

Characteristics

  • Moisture Barrier: The APL (Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate) ensures superior moisture resistance.
  • Loose Tube Design: Protects fibers from environmental and mechanical stress.
  • Crush Resistance: Steel wire central strength member provides robust vertical stability.

Certifications

-IEC 60794, RoHS, ISO 9001.

Specifications

GYTA Fiber Optic Cable Constructions

Component Material/Properties Size/Details
Optical Fiber High-purity Silica Glass Usually single-mode (e.g., G.652D) or multimode. Core count typically ranges from 2 to 288 fibers.
Loose Tube PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) Tubes are filled with a water-blocking thixotropic jelly to protect fibers from mechanical stress and moisture.
Central Strength Member Phosphatized Steel Wire Located at the core center. For larger cables, the steel wire may be coated with a polyethylene (PE) cushion. Provides essential tensile strength.
Water Blocking Water-blocking tape or yarn Applied within the core interstices to prevent the longitudinal penetration of water inside the cable.
Moisture Barrier / Armor APL (Aluminum-Polyethylene Laminate) Double-sided plastic-coated aluminum tape, wrapped longitudinally around the cable core. Primarily provides superior moisture resistance and moderate mechanical protection.
Outer Jacket MDPE or HDPE (Medium or High-Density Polyethylene) Black, UV-resistant, highly weather-resistant, and designed to withstand extreme outdoor environments ranging from -40°C to +70°C.
Markings Printed on the outer jacket Typically includes: “Cable Model (e.g., GYTA-24B1.3)”, “Core Count”, “Fiber Type”, “Manufacturer Name”, “Year of Manufacture”, and sequential “Meter Marks” for length identification.
